Germany Soccer



Germany Soccer is the major sport in the country which is popularly known as "Fussball". There are various levels of Germany soccer and in uncountable amateur clubs the game is played. There are some 6.3 million members who play the game of soccer in such clubs. The "Deutsche Fussballbund" or DFB or the German Football Federation is actually the biggest German sports organization. At the time of the regular playing season, each week thousands of Germans visit the venues of the Germany soccer, while a large crowd function as spectators and actively participate in matches held between the local sporting clubs.

Germany Soccer Jersey

For the 2006 World Cup the German Soccer Jersey beautifully used the colors red, black and yellow on a white background to denote the country's identity. White stripes adorned the black portion of the shoulders.

World Cup Germany

Germany has basked in its numerous achievements. The huge success of the German soccer team is evident in the sports records. In the World Cup matches, Germany appeared in at least 7 finals and even was victorious in 3 matches the Cup. Germany won World Cup in 2002 and reached the semi finals in 2006. In 2006 Germany acted as the perfect host country for the World Cup. The most prominent World Cup victory for Germany was in 1978, when it defeated Mexico.

Germany National Soccer Team/German Team

Some of the members of the Germany National Soccer Team/German Team for the 2006 FIFA World cup were Arne Friedrich, Marcell Jansen, Robert Huth, Per Mertesacker, Jens Nowotny, Philip Lahm, Christoph Metzelder as defenders. The forwards were Oliver Neuville, Mike Hanke, Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose.

Germany soccer is a sport that has earned the nation a lot of accolades for their remarkable performances in numerous games of soccer.
