Stuttgart


Being the capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart is one of the best destination spots among all the German Cities. It is situated on the Neckar River. Once home to the dukes of Württemberg, it was adopted as a capital at the end off the fifteenth century. Having the largest per capita income in Germany, the city has one of the largest river ports and an international airport.

It is also the industrial hub of the country with sizable manufacturing industries, which include electrical,machinery,optical, textiles, photographic equipment, and precision instruments, chemicals, pianos, and motor vehicles and vehicle engines. It was declared as the center for German automotive industry. The other manufacturing industries include textile industries, beverage industries manufacturing wine and beer. Quite evidently, it is also the best site for industrial affairs.

The city's central hub and also the oldest part was completely lost in the ruins of World War II but regained its position as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Some of the structures that still draw the attention of the tourists are the City hall and the Concert hall. Post world was I, the city gained limelight for its architectural beauty. new areas were developed and the buildings were built with modern architectural applications.

Some of such festivals and events are the the elegant Summer Festival, the convivial Stuttgart Wine Village, the traditional Cannstatt Beer Festival and the nostalgic Stuttgart Christmas Market.

Stuttgart lately has also become one of the most important sports hub of the world. The sporting event of the FIFA world cup in 2006, organized in the city found the city and its people in gay attire throughout the month during the Football Festival. To be European Sporting Capital in 2007, the city is a welcome invitation for all the football fans all over the world.
