Lahn Limburg is a marvelous historic city in Germany, situated in the Lahn Valley. Lahn Limburg, renowned for its prim and proper wooden architecture, is the glorious capital of the Limburg-Weilburg district. The city is named after Limburg castle, constructed in the 7th century. Lahn

The Lahn river is actually a tributary of the famous Rhine river. It emanates from the Jagd Berg in western Germany. The entire length of the Lahn river is about 254 kilometers, initially flowing to the east and next to the south. Finally before it mixes with the Rhine it takes a meandering course. Moderate sized barges can sail to Geissen on the river, which is partially canalized. Lahn Limburg owes its beauty and charm to the Lahn valley.

The location of Lahn Limburg between the Frankfurt-am-Main and Bonn, makes it easily accesseible from various vantage points.
