Bayreuth Tourist Spots

The Margravial Opera House is a must-see attraction of the city. Not only is its beauty overwhelming but its architecture is equally impressive. The interiors of this place had been designed by Bolognese Giuseppe Galli Bibiena and Carlo, who were renowned architects. The gigantic stage of the opera is really stunning. The Old Palace in Eremitage is wonderful and people would surely love the inner Grotto, the orangerie and the fascinating fountains. The Lower Grotto is also excellent for showcasing its fountains. The New Palace used to be the residence of the family of Margraves. Thus prominent 18th century figures like Margrave Friedrich resided in the palace. The main attractions of this palace in Bayreuth are the cedar room, the garden rooms, the mirror pieces cabinet and the music room. Those who wish to enjoy the greenery of Bayreuth, must visit the lush botanical gardens. Sanspareil Rock Garden is a splendid horticultural wonder, with strange rock formations. A little distance away from the garden is the medieval Zwernitz castle. No German city is complete without the presence of some fairytale-like castles.

Bayreuth is famous not only for its multitude of tourist spots but the liveliness and openness of its inhabitants.
