Martin Heidegger embarked upon a brilliant academic career in Germany, functioning as a successful lecturer at the famous University of Freiburg and in Marburg. In the University he acted as the Rector between 1933 and 1934. During this time, he expressed cooperation with theories of the National Socialist government.
